Classic Beer Bread

A quick and easy Classic Beer Bread recipe, perfect for cozy dinners or casual brunches.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups sifted all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon table salt
  • 2 to 4 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 12-ounce bottle of beer (room temperature)
  • 2 tablespoons butter (melted)
  • Additional butter for greasing the loaf pan

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan with melted butter.
  3. Mix the dry ingredients: whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  4. Pour in the beer, and stir until just mixed.
  5. Add the melted butter and gently fold in.
  6. Transfer the batter to the greased loaf pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for about 45-50 minutes until golden, and a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes, then slice and serve warm.

Notes

Serve warm with butter, or enjoy alongside chili, sandwiches, or a charcuterie board.
