Pomegranate Margarita

A refreshing twist on the classic margarita with vibrant pomegranate juice, perfect for summer gatherings.

Ingredients

  • Lime wedge for rimming the glass (optional)
  • Kosher salt or sugar for rimming the glass (optional)
  • 3 ounces pomegranate juice
  • 1.5 ounces tequila
  • 3/4 ounce orange liqueur
  • 1/2 lime (juiced)
  • Pomegranate arils and lime wedge (for garnish; optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the glass by rubbing a lime wedge around the rim and dipping it into kosher salt or sugar.
  2. Juice your ingredients using a handheld juicer to get the juice from half a lime.
  3. Mix 3 ounces of pomegranate juice, your freshly squeezed lime juice, 1.5 ounces of tequila, and 3/4 ounce of orange liqueur in a cocktail shaker.
  4. Shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds with ice.
  5. Strain the mixture into your prepared glass filled with ice.
  6. Garnish and serve with pomegranate arils and a lime wedge.

Notes

Feel free to experiment with flavors by adding jalapeño for spice or herbs for an aromatic twist. This cocktail can also be made in a pitcher for larger gatherings.
