One-Pot Spaghetti

A simple and delicious one-pot spaghetti dish that brings comfort and joy to the table.

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cups water or broth
  • 1 can (15 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (mozzarella or parmesan)
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat for about a minute.
  2. Add the garlic and onion powders, stirring for 30 seconds to infuse flavor.
  3. Introduce the spaghetti, gently stirring to coat it with the oil mix.
  4. Pour in the water or broth and the diced tomatoes, ensuring the spaghetti is submerged.
  5. Season with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper; stir and bring to a gentle boil.
  6. Cook on low heat, covered, for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally until al dente.
  7. Mix in the shredded cheese until melted and combined.
  8. Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil if desired.

Notes

For a vegan version, use vegetable broth and replace cheese with a vegan alternative. Adjust cooking time based on pasta type for optimal doneness.
