Apple Streusel Pound Cake

A delightful burst of autumn flavors with tender apples and a heavenly cinnamon streusel topping.

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 apples, diced
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • Cinnamon streusel topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare your loaf pan by greasing it and lining with parchment paper.
  3. Mix the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  5. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  6. Combine the dry mixtures gradually with butter mixture, alternating with milk.
  7. Fold in the diced apples gently.
  8. Make the streusel topping by mixing flour, sugar, butter, and cinnamon.
  9. Assemble and pour batter into the prepared loaf pan, topping with streusel.
  10. Bake for 60-70 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  11. Cool in the pan for 15 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Dust the top with powdered sugar or serve with ice cream for a lovely treat.
