Apple Snickerdoodles

Delightful cookies that combine the comforting flavors of snickerdoodles with the fresh taste of apples, perfect for cozy moments.

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 medium apple, grated
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • Cinnamon-sugar coating (1/4 cup sugar mixed with 1 tablespoon cinnamon)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare your baking sheets by lining them with parchment paper.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and a pinch of salt.
  4. Cream the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  5. Add the egg and beat until fully incorporated.
  6. Grate the apple and fold it into the butter-sugar mixture.
  7. Add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  8. Prepare the cinnamon-sugar mixture by mixing the sugar and cinnamon together.
  9. Scoop the dough into balls and roll them in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  10. Place the dough balls on the baking sheets, spaced about 2 inches apart.
  11. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
  12. Let them cool on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
