Halloween Deviled Eggs

Spooky and colorful deviled eggs perfect for your Halloween gatherings, sure to delight your guests with their eerie appearance and delicious flavor.

Ingredients

  • 6 hard-boiled eggs
  • Food coloring (black, purple, green, or other)
  • Water (to cover eggs)
  • Splash of white vinegar
  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp mustard (Dijon or yellow)
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar
  • Pinch of salt
  • Pinch of pepper
  • Sprinkle of paprika, chia seeds, or parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Hard-Boil the eggs by placing them in a saucepan, covering with cold water, and boiling for 9-12 minutes. Transfer to an ice bath to cool.
  2. Peel and prepare the eggs, tap shells and peel under running water, then cut in half and scoop out yolks.
  3. Color the egg whites by mixing water, vinegar, and food coloring, then submerge egg whites for 10-20 minutes until desired tint is reached.
  4. Make the filling by mashing yolks with mayonnaise, mustard, apple cider vinegar, salt, and pepper until smooth but still chunky.
  5. Fill the colored egg whites with the yolk mixture using a piping bag or spoon.
  6. Add your spooky touch with chia seeds, parsley, or olive spiders.
  7. Chill in the fridge until ready to serve.

Notes

For more vibrant colors, use gel food coloring. Adjust seasonings to your preference.
