  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup Halloween candy (like M&M’s or chopped candy corn)
  • Witches’ brew frosting (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar together until fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then drizzle in the vanilla extract.
  4. Blend the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Combine the dry mixture into the wet mixture gradually, blending on low speed.
  6. Stir in your Halloween candy using a spatula.
  7. Scoop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, leaving space between them.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until set but still soft in the center.
  9. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack and frosting if desired.
