Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare your pan: Grease a 9-inch round cake pan with butter, pour caramel sauce into the bottom, and arrange sliced apples on top.
  3. Mix the dry ingredients: Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl.
  4. Cream the butter and sugar: Beat softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy (about 3-5 minutes).
  5. Add the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated.
  6. Incorporate the dry ingredients: Gradually add flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with milk until combined.
  7. Pour the batter over the apples in the pan and smooth it out.
  8. Bake for about 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool and flip the cake after letting it rest for 10-15 minutes.
