Delightfully Easy Apple Fritter Bread

A soft, fluffy loaf bursting with tender apple pieces and a hint of cinnamon, topped off with a sugary glaze.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 apples, chopped
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Wash and chop your apples into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Whisk together the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt in a mixing bowl.
  4. Combine melted butter with the sugar in a separate bowl until smooth.
  5. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then fold in the chopped apples.
  6. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  7. Grease a loaf pan with butter or cooking spray. Pour the batter into the pan, smoothing the top.
  8. Bake for about 55-65 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack and drizzle with glaze.

Notes

For a lighter version, substitute melted butter with applesauce.
