  • 6 apples, sliced
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Prepare the apple filling by combining sliced apples, sugar, and cinnamon in a large bowl.
  3. Let the mixture sit for about 10-15 minutes.
  4. Make the crumble topping by mixing flour, brown sugar, and butter until crumbly.
  5. Assemble the pie by rolling out the crust and filling it with the apple mixture.
  6. Add the crumble topping generously over the apples.
  7. Bake the pie for 15 minutes at 425°F, then lower to 350°F (175°C) for 35-40 minutes.
  8. Let it cool for at least 20 minutes before slicing.
  9. Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

For a vegan version, substitute butter with a plant-based alternative and use maple syrup instead of sugar.
