Air Fryer Apple Fries

Enjoy a crunchy and sweet snack with these Air Fryer Apple Fries—a fun twist on a nostalgic treat!

Ingredients

  • 2 large apples (Honeycrisp or Granny Smith)
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Nonstick cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Prep the apples by washing and drying them. Slice into thin wedges or sticks, about ¼ inch thick.
  2. Set up your dipping station with flour in one bowl, a mixture of egg and milk in another, and panko breadcrumbs mixed with sugar and cinnamon in a third.
  3. Coat each apple slice by dipping it in flour, then egg mixture, and finally panko mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3-5 minutes. Spray the basket with nonstick cooking spray.
  5. Cook the apple slices for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Cool slightly before serving on a wire rack.

Notes

Serve warm with caramel or chocolate sauce for dipping. A sprinkle of powdered sugar adds a lovely finishing touch.
