Creamy Garlic Butter Steak Bites with Spicy Cajun Alfredo Twisted Pasta

A comforting dish of tender steak bites with a spicy Cajun Alfredo sauce over twisted pasta, perfect for a cozy dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1.5 pounds sirloin steak (or chicken/turkey)
  • 12 oz twisted pasta (rotini or fusilli)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Olive oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Cook the Twisted Pasta: Fill a large pot with water and bring it to a rolling boil. Add a pinch of salt and toss in the twisted pasta, cooking according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve about 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. Sear the Steak Bits: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat with a splash of olive oil. Season the sirloin steak with salt, pepper, and additional Cajun seasoning. Add it to the pan in a single layer and cook for 3-4 minutes per side until browned. Remove from the pan.
  3. Make the Creamy Sauce: In the same skillet, lower heat to medium and melt the butter. Sauté minced garlic for 1-2 minutes. Pour in the heavy cream and let it simmer. Add Cajun seasoning and Parmesan cheese, whisking until cheese melts. Adjust thickness with reserved pasta water if necessary.
  4. Combine Everything: Add cooked pasta and seared steak to the skillet, tossing to coat the pasta in sauce.
