Scale
  • 2 deep-dish pie crusts
  • 8 apples, sliced (a mix of tart and sweet varieties)

  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

  4. Roll out one disk of dough on a floured surface to fit your deep-dish pie pan.
  5. Fill the pie with the apple mixture, packing it in tightly.
  6. Top with the second pie crust and seal the edges.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes at 425°F, then reduce to 350°F (175°C) and bake for an additional 30-35 minutes.
  8. Cool for at least 30 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Adding caramel sauce on top or a nutty crumble topping can enhance the pie’s flavor. Use a mix of sweet and tart apples for the best results.
