Classic Club Sandwich

A classic Club Sandwich layered with turkey, bacon, and fresh vegetables, perfect for lunch or casual dining.

Ingredients

  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 6 slices firm white bread
  • ½ pound sliced roasted turkey
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper (to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon mustard (optional)
  • 1 large ripe tomato (sliced)
  • 6 thick bacon slices
  • 4 crispy lettuce leaves (torn)

Instructions

  1. Toast the bread until golden brown and crispy.
  2. Mix the mayonnaise and mustard (if using) in a small bowl.
  3. Assemble the base layer with three slices of toasted bread and spread mayonnaise mixture on the first slice.
  4. Layer half of the turkey slices on the first slice and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Add sliced tomatoes and lettuce on top of the turkey.
  6. Next, lay down three slices of crispy bacon.
  7. Repeat the layering with the remaining ingredients on the second slice of bread.
  8. Finishing touches: Add the final slice of bread on top and press down gently.
  9. Slice the sandwich diagonally into quarters and serve.

Notes

For added flavor, experiment with different spreads and ingredients. This sandwich is very versatile!
