Maple Glazed Apple Blondies

Deliciously moist blondies bursting with the sweetness of apples and a hint of maple, perfect for capturing the essence of fall.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup butter (softened)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 large apples (chopped finely)
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line a 9×13 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  3. Sauté the apples in a medium skillet with 1 Tbsp of butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon for 5-7 minutes.
  4. Whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  5. Cream together butter, sugar, and dark brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  6. Add in the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
  7. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients and gently fold in the sautéed apples.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  10. Mix the maple glaze ingredients in a bowl until smooth.
  11. Drizzle the glaze over blondies once cooled for 10 minutes.

Notes

Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for an extra indulgent touch.
