Delightful Apple Turnovers

Crisp, flaky apple turnovers filled with spiced apples for a delightful treat any time of the day.

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 2 apples, diced
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the apples by peeling and dicing them into uniform pieces, then tossing them with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut it into 4×4 inch squares.
  4. Fill each pastry square with a spoonful of the apple mixture.
  5. Fold the pastry over to create a triangle and crimp the edges to seal.
  6. Egg wash the tops with the whisked egg.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Cool before serving to avoid steam buildup.
