Apple Cranberry Crisp

A cozy dessert that combines sweet and tart flavors, perfect for fall gatherings.

  • 5 Apples (sliced)
  • 1 Cup Fresh Cranberries
  • 3/4 Cup Brown Sugar
  • 1 Cup Oats
  • 1/2 Cup Butter (softened)
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine sliced apples and fresh cranberries in a large mixing bowl. Sprinkle 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon over the fruit and combine gently.
  3. Pour the fruit mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish and spread evenly.
  4. Mix oats, remaining brown sugar, melted butter, and the rest of the cinnamon in a separate bowl until it resembles coarse sand.
  5. Distribute the oat mixture over the apple-cranberry mixture.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-45 minutes, until the fruit is bubbling and the top is golden brown.
  7. Let cool for about 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for a classic touch. For indulgence, drizzle with caramel sauce.
