4th of July Monster Cookies

A festive and flavorful treat packed with oats, chocolate chips, and colorful M&M’s, ideal for your Independence Day gathering.

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups oats
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup M&M’s candies

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Brown the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat until golden brown and nutty, about 5-7 minutes. Let cool slightly.
  3. Mix in the brown and granulated sugars with the browned butter until smooth.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until fluffy.
  5. Combine dry ingredients (flour, baking soda, salt) in a separate bowl, then gradually add to wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Stir in oats, ensuring even distribution.
  7. Incorporate chocolate chips and M&M’s, folding gently.
  8. Scoop dough onto prepared baking sheets, leaving space for spreading.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden brown.
  10. Cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
