Sticky Honey Garlic Sausage Pasta Skillet

A quick and flavorful pasta dish featuring al dente pasta coated in a sweet and savory honey garlic sauce with hearty sausage.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz Pasta (Penne or Fusilli)
  • 1 lb Sausage (Italian or Smoked)
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes
  • Olive Oil
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • Fresh Parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add your pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, reserving 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. Sauté the Sausage: Heat about 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat in a large skillet. Add the sausage, removing the casings if using link-style sausages. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until browned and fully cooked.
  3. Add the Garlic: Once the sausage is golden, add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about one minute.
  4. Create the Sauce: Pour in the honey and soy sauce, toss in red pepper flakes, and let it simmer for about 2 minutes until the sauce slightly thickens.
  5. Combine with Pasta: Add the drained pasta into the skillet and toss with the sausage and sauce, adding reserved pasta water as needed to reach the desired consistency.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Remove from heat and plate. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

A squeeze of lemon juice over the pasta can brighten up the flavors beautifully. Feel free to adjust the spice level to your preference.
