Smashburger Quesadillas

A deliciously cheesy twist on the classic smashburger, perfectly layered between crispy tortillas.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar or American cheese
  • Optional: Pickles
  • Optional: Diced onions
  • Optional: Burger sauce for serving

Instructions

  1. Season the meat by mixing ground beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder in a bowl.
  2. Smash the burger patties by forming the seasoned beef into a ball, placing it in a skillet, and flattening it.
  3. Add your cheese on top of the burger patty just before flipping it to let it melt.
  4. Assemble the quesadilla by placing the cooked patty onto a tortilla and covering it with another tortilla.
  5. Cook the quesadilla on medium heat for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  6. Slice and serve the quesadilla hot, optionally with burger sauce for dipping.

Notes

Mix the meat by hand for even seasoning distribution. Use more cheese to help the quesadilla hold together.
