Homemade Cinnamon Churros Ice Cream

A delightful combination of creamy ice cream infused with warm cinnamon flavors and crunchy sweet churros.

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup churros, chopped
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the heavy cream and whole milk. Stir occasionally until warm, about 5 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat and whisk in granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until fully dissolved.
  3. Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours until chilled.
  4. Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions, about 20-25 minutes.
  5. Fold in the chopped churros gently when the ice cream is nearly finished churning.
  6. Transfer the ice cream to an airtight container, smooth the top, and freeze for at least 4 hours until firm.

Notes

Store the homemade ice cream in the freezer for 2-3 weeks for optimal enjoyment.
