Garlic Butter Steak with Parmesan Cream Sauce

A deliciously rich garlic butter steak topped with a creamy Parmesan sauce, perfect for a satisfying meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 pieces ribeye steaks (about 1-inch thick, 8 oz each)
  • To taste salt
  • To taste pepper
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the steaks: Take your ribeye steaks out of the fridge about 30 minutes before cooking and season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat your skillet: Heat a cast-iron skillet on medium-high until it’s very hot.
  3. Sear the steaks: Add 2 tablespoons of butter to the hot skillet and cook the steaks for about 4-5 minutes on one side.
  4. Add garlic: Flip the steaks, add the minced garlic, and cook for another 3-4 minutes while basting.
  5. Check for doneness: Use a meat thermometer to ensure they reach about 130°F for medium-rare.
  6. Remove and rest: Take the steaks off the skillet and let them rest for 5-10 minutes.
  7. Make the sauce: In the same skillet, melt the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter, whisk in the heavy cream, and scrape the pan’s bottom.
  8. Add the cheese: Stir in the grated Parmesan until melted and smooth.
  9. Plate and garnish: Slice the steaks, pour the sauce over, and garnish with parsley.

Notes

Experiment with herbs and spices to customize the flavor. Allow the steaks to rest after cooking for juicier meat.
