Creamy Cheesy Broccoli Pasta

A warm and comforting dish of pasta smothered in creamy sauce with fresh broccoli and gooey cheese.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta (penne or fusilli)
  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Parmesan cheese for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  2. Add the broccoli florets to the boiling pasta for the last 2-3 minutes of cooking.
  3. In the same pot or a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  4. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, around 30 seconds to 1 minute.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring well.
  6. Add the shredded cheese gradually, stirring until melted and combined.
  7. Toss in the drained pasta and broccoli with the creamy sauce.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Notes

For different flavor profiles, consider adding cooked chicken, say sautéed shrimp, or crispy bacon for added protein.
