Creamy Beef Pasta

A cozy and comforting dish featuring penne pasta in a rich creamy sauce with seasoned ground beef.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tsp olive oil for sautéing

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil, adding penne and cooking for 10-12 minutes until al dente.
  2. Sauté the aromatics by heating olive oil in a skillet, adding the diced onion until translucent, and then mincing garlic until fragrant.
  3. Brown the beef by increasing heat and adding ground beef, seasoning with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning until cooked through.
  4. Create the creamy sauce by reducing heat, pouring in heavy cream, and stirring in Parmesan cheese until melted.
  5. Combine the pasta and sauce by adding the drained penne to the skillet, tossing to coat, and using reserved pasta water to adjust consistency if necessary.
  6. Serve the creamy beef pasta in bowls and garnish with Parmesan and black pepper before enjoying.
