Creamy Beef Pasta

Indulge in a comforting bowl of creamy beef pasta, featuring succulent ground beef, rich heavy cream, and aromatic garlic.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tsp olive oil for sautéing

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: In a large pot, bring salted water to a rolling boil and add the penne pasta. Cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 10-12 minutes.
  2. Brown the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, drizzle in the olive oil and add the diced onion. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes until translucent. Add in the minced garlic and let it cook for another minute. Now, increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground beef. Break it up with a wooden spoon and cook until browned (about 7-8 minutes).
  3. Create the Creamy Sauce: Lower the heat to medium, pouring in the heavy cream. Stir continuously as the cream warms. Next, sprinkle in your grated Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning. Mix until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens slightly.
  4. Combine Pasta and Sauce: Once your pasta is perfectly cooked and drained, add it to the skillet. Toss until every piece of pasta is coated in that dreamy sauce.
  5. Season & Taste: Finish with salt and pepper to taste. Give it a final stir and watch the flavors meld together.

Notes

For added flavor, consider mixing in sautéed vegetables like mushrooms or spinach. You can also adjust the creaminess with reserved pasta water.
