  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 6 strips bacon
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 small boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 cups uncooked rotini pasta
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
  • 2 cups half and half
  • 2 tablespoons dry ranch dressing seasoning mix

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in a large pot of salted water according to package instructions until al dente (8-10 minutes).
  2. Prepare the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy (5-7 minutes), then chop into bits.
  3. Sauté the seasoned chicken in the bacon drippings until golden brown and cooked through (5-6 minutes per side).
  4. Create the sauce by making a roux with butter and flour, then whisking in half and half and seasonings.
  5. Combine the pasta, chicken, and bacon into the sauce and toss gently.
  6. Finish by stirring in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and creamy.
