Homemade Banana Oatmeal Bars

Delightful Banana Oatmeal Bars that are perfect for breakfast on-the-go or a sweet treat.

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup nut butter (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a large mixing bowl until smooth.
  3. Mix in the honey (or maple syrup), nut butter, and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the rolled oats, cinnamon, and salt in a separate bowl and stir into the wet ingredients.
  5. Pour the mixture into a lined 8×8 inch baking dish.
  6. Bake for about 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Let cool for about 10 minutes in the pan, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Slice into squares or rectangles and enjoy!

Notes

These bars can be stored in an airtight container for up to a week or frozen for up to three months.
