Delightful Banana Cake

A delightful banana cake made with wholesome oats, perfect for any occasion.

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup of oats
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1/2 cup of buttermilk
  • 1/3 cup of vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch round cake pan.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a medium bowl until smooth with small lumps.
  3. Mix the mashed bananas, sugar, buttermilk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract in a large bowl.
  4. Combine the oats, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
  5. Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until no dry flour remains.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool the cake for 10 minutes in the pan, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

This cake can be served warm, cold, or with toppings such as whipped cream or powdered sugar. It also freezes well for up to 3 months.
