Balsamic Baked Chicken Breast

A flavorful dish featuring juicy chicken breasts marinated in a tangy balsamic glaze, perfect for family dinners.

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Prepare the marinade by whisking together balsamic vinegar, olive oil, honey, minced garlic, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl.
  3. Marinate the chicken breasts by placing them in a resealable bag or shallow dish and covering them with the marinade. Let sit in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Remove the chicken from the marinade and place it in a greased baking dish, drizzling leftover marinade on top.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  6. Rest the chicken for 5-10 minutes before serving.
  7. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve with your favorite sides.

Notes

For extra moisture, consider using chicken thighs instead of breasts, adjusting cooking time as necessary.
